Death by Snoo Snoo was a five person San Diego based alternative rock band. Established 2011 and disband in 2016.

"In the unassuming city of Chula Vista, California, two high school friends formed a band. Upon meeting each other, Jonathan Madrigal and Tanner Partee never would have guessed they would form a band currently known as Death By Snoo Snoo. The band didn't form until long after their high school days. Jon Madrigal, being an avid guitar player, contacted Tanner Partee to begin playing together. At the time, Partee had played bass; however, Partee had a better knack for drumming. After Madrigal and Partee played together for some time they began searching for other members. Sam Thomson had been a friend of Jon Madrigal's through mutual friends at Southwestern College. The thought that guitarist and bassists were a "dime in a dozen" was beginning to baffle Madrigal. Thinking and searching through the talent at Southwestern College, there didn't seem to be anyone that fit the dynamic of the band. Under their nose was Sam Thomson, a charismatic and talented bassist who would join the band by Madrigal's invitation. With the four of them in the band, they decided to give themselves a name. Many names were thrown around such as "Wiggum" and "Brannigan's Law", but "Death By Snoo Snoo" seemed the most unique with it's odd and obscure reference to the beloved Futurama series. With four members and an established name, Death By Snoo Snoo was missing the most important member of a band. The search for a singer was fairly long and tedious. There would be characteristic, creative, and or time clashes. Death By Snoo Snoo has gone through a number of singers until finding Marissa Nicole (Nicky) Garcia. While performing in Southwestern College's Chamber Singers Ensemble, Madrigal took a moment out of the ensembles rehearsal to announce his band was looking for a singer. Nicky Garcia was interested and auditioned for Death By Snoo Snoo. Death By Snoo Snoo had finally found a permanent and undoubtedly talented and gifted singer to complete what is known today as Death By Snoo Snoo."
